Photography: Me

Post work: Mark *marpo3

Dancer silhouette brush: ~erichilemex

This series is a tribute to modern dance and Martha Graham:

"I wanted to begin not with characters or ideas, but with movements . . .I wanted significant movement. I did not want it to be beautiful or fluid. I wanted it to be fraught with inner meaning, with excitement and surge." Martha Graham

This is the final image in the series. *marpo3 created this version of it, and I love the messages that can be derived from it.

2006 Lovitt/Marpo3. Unauthorized use prohibited.

Aww hon, I'm not so sure how well I know you. However, I do know how much I care about you and how thankful I am to have your friendship.

And....I would have included this song lyric with the photo, with you in mind

"I'm so tired
But I can't sleep
Standing on the edge
of something much too deep
Funny how I feel so much
But cannot say a word
We are screaming inside
Oh...but we can't be heard"

~ Sarah McLachlan

Perhaps, but notice I said that this image tells ME my story... In this photo, I see my own story, hear it, feel it... I was quite surprised to see this image and hear the story of me that it told... but only surprised at first. Once I listened to it carefully, I realized how true it is...

I am the photographer. This series is all self portraits. It's just the processing, the photoshop work, that was done by someone else.

Its wonderful none the less..and the processing looks very archival..at least 38 years old...very well preserved...historic specimens :)
