Sometimes I am poetry.
Limbs made of words,
legs of verse and stanza,
Mouth made of rhythm.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
... I care too much. About stupid shit.
Trying to learn not to care. Maybe I'll do better this time.
Blisters must burst first. Then thicker skin develops as the calluses harden.
I am who I am. I make the art that I make.
Some like it, some don't, and some don't even notice it.
Oh fucking well.
I think I may be done noticing quite so much. Hopefully...
In the meantime, thank you to all my friends, supporters, and mentors.
You know who you are. Your comments mean a lot. They keep me posting.
And a special thank you to my Ribbon Master.
I've been seeing these Meez all over DA.
Finally decided to make one of my own.
"The aim of life is to live, and to live means to be aware ~
joyously, drunkenly, serenely, divinely aware." Henry Miller.
I am aware once again. Aware, awake, and alive...
Sometimes we pour ourselves out only to find we've become just a mess on the floor in someone else's eyes. But then we insert ourselves into the pores of the wood, evaporate, and we find nirvana in a different space and time...
Devious Comments
I am not sure what context you are using this in (perhaps beyond art...?), but I do know the dangers of getting callouses too thick. It always seems hard to get a callous, but it seems even harder to shed layers later.
Youre a tough woman, but dont become a calloused one
I thank god for bitter irony,
The happiness felt through lustful gluttony.
The very things sent to condemn me,
Are the things in life that make me happy.
